Every night before to sleep, my 1yr and 3 months old son will get a dvd from our dvd drawer. He will choose what he wants to watch. He would says "Da da" and hand me the dvd. We need to watch it with him, while seated on our bed. This is also one of our bonding session with our kid.

A few years ago, I enjoy playing "yaya" to my niece Chanel. One of our favorite things to do is to watch Walt Disney cl*ssic movies on video during weekends in bed before we sleep. Now, I relive such great moments with my son Charles who is simply captivated with Winnie the Pooh movies. It is such one great motherhood experience I love to do over and over again.

Everynight is Family bonding to us. Right after dinner when I'm done with my household chores before we go to bed we watch our collections of movies in our laptop. We always watch monsters vs aliens first because that's Rizza's favorite I don't know if she's scared with the movie but everytime she watched that she behave and stop whatever she's doing. Sometimes I cook popcorn for them but most of the time it's just the chips we bought in grocery.

Every Friday night, my 7 yr old daughter and 2 yr old son are always excited because they knew that it is their awaited movie night! We surprised them with a new movie film every Friday night. With me and hubby working, Friday night is the start of our bonding moments 'till Sunday because Monday there will be school (for my daughter) and work (for me and hubby) :-)

I work on a nightshift schedule, but I make sure to find time with my little girl for some special bonding. Every weekend nights since last December, my kid and I have been watching the movie UP. She really loves the whole balloon thing, lots of good visuals, bright colors, etc. She's amazed of the colorful balloons as much as I do. We both love this movie very much. I used to prepare steamed potato strips to munch to complete the night. When I laugh my daughter gets excited and starts laughing... it's so cute. Im sure she will going to love the G-force movie. Animated movies drives our weekend nights crazy.

Every saturday night is our movie night. My 3-year-old daughter picks which movie she wants to watch. She has a pile of DVD Disney movies to choose from, though her favorite is Ratatouille. Seeing that mouse cooks makes her hungry so while we're watching I make sure to put some of her favorite snacks and her milk in front of us so she could enjoy the movie more.

My pamangkin, I love watching movies with her one a week. I am busy every week and I only have one off per week. So it is a good thing for me that I spend my time with my pamangkin watching cartoons or even a teen movie. She can be more mature and learn stuff from movies, play jokes and learn more English.

  • chit says ( Jan 13, 2010 - 19:00 )
I have 2 daughters. We watch movies every Sunday. Sunday is our rest day. We watch tagalong, English or cartoon movies. Watching movies is a good family bonding.

Our movie night is usually on a Friday or Saturday--it could be at a movie house, or at home when there's a good movie airing on tv. Sometimes we borrow a projector and and enjoy viewing a movie on the white screen (which is actually our white wall in the room). Popcorn and a tall gl*ss of iced tea, which my husband, our two boys and I share, is always a must! =)

  • sunkhizz says ( Jan 14, 2010 - 10:42 )
G-Force is one movie that my kids enjoyed watching. In fact, this is the first movie that my 3-year-old son get to watch at the theater. My kids love watching movies everyday. But of course, they look forward to Friday nights and weekends movie moments. It's where we can all enjoy watching movies together while munching on our favorite biscuits and chips. My kids would definitely include this in their choice of movies to watch. A movie that teaches heartwarming life lessons of teamwork, friendship and believing in one's self is always a must-see!

My 3-year old son really loves watching Disney movies. He's favorite is CARS; he likes it so much that we almost watch it every weekend. But actually, I'm also enjoying it.

We do movie marathons on Friday nights. My husband and I are both working so it is the earliest time we look forward to quality bonding with our little darling. My daughter loves popcorn and ice cream as she watches movies and so do we.

TGIF! Fridays, I rush home with some microwave instant popcorn, just in time for DW to pop in - just an extra since I'm sure she's already prepped some fresh fruit juice and tuna bread sticks and a bowl of mixed berries!

Every Saturday night, we always have what I call "walang kamatayang dinosaur movies or shark movies" with our step son. He doesn't want any other movies. While watching, he always carries with him a chocolate powder. Instead of drinking it, pinapapak niya ito (hehe). He's just quiet but when the dinos or sharks appear, he shouts, "REWIND, REWIND AND PLAY". I'm fond of watching him not the movies.

my 2 year old loves her pixar movies. her favorites are Up and Finding Nemo. Fortunately Finding Nemo is often shown on the Disney Channel (like now!) and she is completely mesmerized. she doesn't require snacks but she does love the munch on popcorn or nuts occasionally :) She loves going to her lolo's house to watch Up Blu-Ray on "Big Daddy's" (that's what she calls her lolo) giant screen tv.

Our movie night is usually every night. After our dinner and done fixing everything in our house I rushed into our room bringing some finger foods (fries or popcorn) for my hubby and baby is already there ready for a movie. It's our way of bonding after a long tiring day of hubby from work. We usually watch Fran2x's favorite cartoon movies first and when he's already asleep we changed it into our favorite ones. We finished 2 to 3 movies every night that usually end up us to sleep.

Every friday, I watch cartoon dvds with my little sister (she's 8 years old) and we pop some microwaveable cheese-flavored popcorn too.

I am glad knowing that my kids are always excited for our movie night moments. They can even watch any movie a lot of times! Weekends can be our movie day, though we can also manage to watch on weekdays too, for just a couple of minutes. Good that they can watch even without snacks!
