What you’ll need:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 small bulb of onion
  • ¼ cup Green bell pepper (diced)
  • ¼ cup Red bell pepper (diced)
  • ½ cup Quickmelt cheese (grated)
  • 1 cup elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup water

Procedure:

  • Saute onion in butter.
  • Add 1 cup of water and add macaroni.
  • Stir and keep on adding little water until macaroni is cooked.  The cooking time of the macaroni is really dependent on the brand used. Macaroni is cooked when its al dente already, meaning it's not hard and it's not too soft.
  • Pour cheese over macaroni.
  • Add red and green bell pepper.
  • Mix well.

Serving size: Up to 3 kids

Nutritive Note:
This recipe serves the daily energy need of toddlers that comes from the carbohydrates of macaroni and the calcium and protein from cheese and vegetables.
