Here are more math tutorial progams for your child.
Singapore Math

Singapore Math is a simplified form of calculation implemented in Singapore's curriculum Ministry of Education. It was continually developed from the 90s to early 2000. It has gained the world's attention because Singaporeans often win international math competitions. Singapore Math is now widely used in the U.S. and in Canada. In the Philippines the number of schools using this method is growing. Tutorial centers now offer this program.
Singapore Math as Part of the School Curriculum
Singaporean Mr. Ban Wah Ng, a Maths Consultant and tutor has been teaching Singapore Math for 3 years. He's had students from schools using this method. Xavier School, Wood Rose, Makati Gospel, Immaculate Conception Academy, International British Academy, Makati Hope Christian School and International School of Manila are some of the schools where Singapore Math is already used as part of the curriculum.
Singapore Math can be taught from grade school to high school. It uses the model approach instead of the conventional method. Below is an example of a word problem using Singapore Math.

Below is an example of a HS level quiz where Singapore Math can be applied
y=x+2
x+y=8
Given this equation, Mr. Ban Wah first transformed the question into a simple word problem:
"Ben (x) has 2 pesos more than Sam (y). They have P8 all together." With this word problem, the Singapore Math model can now be used.
"Singapore Math can easily be learned by visual presentations. You need to be proficient in the English language, though, because problems and answers are given in sentences,” says Mr. Ban Wah Ng. He continues to tutor at his home in Magallanes, teach in schools like Ingenium School in Marikina, Esteban School in Taguig and occasionally coordinates with Tutorial Centers. Check with your child’s school if they offer an after-school program in Singapore Math.
