How to Make your Own Decorative Lampshade
What can parents and children do with all the time in their hands this summer vacation? Light bulb moment: do some crafts! And speaking of light bulb, why not start with something useful and pretty, like a lampshade? A D-I-Y lampshade would be a great way to dress up your room and give it that much-needed perk-up. Decorate as you please and let your personality ‘shine’ with this crafty project.

You’re going to need:
• Lamp mechanism, including a socket, flat wire, plug, bulb and a switch
• Cooking pot tray as lamp frame
• Acetate
• Ribbon
• Wire
• Handmade paper
• A pair of scissors
• Pencil
• Wire cutters
• Cutter
• One-hole punch
• Double-sided tape
• Accent materials such as fur
You’ll spend about P200-300 for a lamp, depending on the design and materials you’re going to use. A neat gift idea : think of themes and create a variety of styles for your lampshades.
