• What was once deemed as an expensive exercise suitable only for those with a flexible, nimble physique has now become a way of life for many.Yoga junkies, or yogis, swear by its ohm-azing benefits, from losing those unwanted inches and pounds to the state of calm and peace that the practice brings. Through the different poses, the body’s strength, balance and flexibility improve. Eventually, a deeper awareness of the self develops and positivity takes over.

As the practice becomes more widespread, everyone discovers the kind of yoga that fits them perfectly – including moms-to-be and moms who just gave birth. Prenatal yoga not only prepares mom for labor and childbirth, but also aids pregnancy itself in terms of comfort. Postnatal yoga alleviates pains, helps the mom return to their pre-pregnancy form, and may increase the production of milk in breastfeeding. However, since every pregnancy and post-pregnancy case is different, it would still be best to consult a doctor prior.
