    Join kid-friendly sports.

    Set a good example.

    Kids follow what the adults around them do, and that counts for everything, from what you do to what you eat. If they see you eating junk food all the time, guess what your kids will crave for? Like for example, when they choose healthy food over junk food, praise them for their choice, and tell them that because of what they did, their body will move better and they'll have less sick days spent in bed. It's guaranteed to stick more, rather than just saying what’s "good" or "bad" for them.

    Help them find meaning in what they're doing.

    A fun time is guaranteed for kids who will be participating in the Fresh Dash, and if getting healthier and fitter isn't a great reward enough, proceeds of the fees given by the participants of the World Vision Run 2016 will go to thousands of Filipino children all over the country. Telling your children that you're running for a great cause, to help other kids eat well and go to school, will make them proud of their participation. Now that’s a win-win!

    Use activities to bond as a family.

    In our hyperconnected, super distracting world, every minute spent with your kids should be made into an opportunity to spend quality time with them. When possible, join them during their sporting events, and not just in the sidelines cheering them on. Get in the field with them so that you can show that you not only walk your own walk, but you also give them your full and undivided attention.
