Mommy’s Little Boy
In a few years, Kaya will be turning into a teenager and Tuesday and Coy have plans to transfer him to a co-ed school in order to prepare him with dealing with the opposite sex.
Tuesday’s so proud of her little boy, who, despite being well on his way to becoming a man, never forgets the number one woman in his life: his mom. “Gusto niya ako ‘yung girlfriend niya,” Tuesday says. “Nag-pick siya ng flowers tapos ginawan niya ‘ko ng card. Crush ako ng anak ko. Na-touch ako kasi ganun siya mag-isip, out of the box. ‘Pag birthday ko, ginagawan niya ko ng little projects.”
Love amidst loss
In April, Tuesday and Coy set off for a romantic Europe getaway and try for a baby, a 'project' which became successful. However, Smart Parenting Online found out that Tuesday recently miscarried. Here’s her personal account:
“When Coy and I talked to Kaya about it he was really sad but Coy explained everything to him and somehow, Kaya took it well because his Dad reassured him that mommy can get pregnant again. Kaya opened up to his best friend in school about the loss of the baby and he cried. He said to his Daddy that next time mommy is pregnant na not to let mommy work anymore because he doesn’t want the same thing to happen again.”
Despite the loss, the love within their family does not waver and it only proves their fortitude to keep their bond as strong as ever. We extend our sympathy to Tuesday and her family.
Gems from motherhood
Tuesday shares some of the most valuable lessons she’s learned being a mom to Kaya:
1. “Nakakatulog ako kahit saan. Naturuan ako ni Kaya na matulog kahit saan, kahit anong posisyon, kahit pagod, kaya kong gumawa ng tulog, kasi may training ako nung ninu-nurse ko pa lang siya, kailangang-kailangan namin yun sa trabaho namin lalo na pag puyatan at lagare.”
2. The value of patience.
3. “Just to be generally happy about everything, So ‘pag nakikita mo ‘yung bata na ganun ‘yung approach sa buhay, nareremind ka ng mga simpleng bagay, nagiging in touch ka dun sa kung ano ‘yung mas mahalaga. Family life, love, basic. To laugh.”
