Hit Girl (Kick Ass)
"So, you wanna play?" Who would forget that cute but deady Hit Girl? Let that cuteness come alive with this easy-to-put-together costume.
What you need: - purple long sleeved top - purple pants or leggings - plaid skirt - pink belt - knee pads - high-cut black leather shoes - black cape - purple wig - black gloves
Affordable alternatives: The skirt can be of an old school uniform.
Wigs can be bought from department stores. Get it cheaper at Celebrations Party Central. Call for stocks.
Knee pads in black are sold at Japan Home Center at P88 a pair.
The shoe can be an ordinary leather school shoes paired with long black socks and strapped to the shins with black garter or shoe string .
Silk cloth material for the cape can be bought at lace stores for P30/yard.
Smallest handy black gloves are widely available at hardware stores.

Johnny Stein (Hotel Transylvania)
Jonathon, the only human character in the movie 'Hotel Transylvania', was transformed by Dracula into Johnny Stein to disguise him as a distant relative of Frankenstein. Get all the onlookers "zinged" by this costume as your little one goes "bleh-bleh-bleh!" this Halloween.
What you need:
For the costume: - bluish-gray suit-coat or blazer (second hand clothes stores has lots) - khaki shorts - yellow shirt with green crew or mandarin collar(sewed on)
This classic character is sure to be a hit with all Moms and Dads.
What you need: - white robe - silver belt - side buns (hair trademark)
Affordable alternative: The robe is a simple pattern you can make yourself or by your seamstress. The cheapest material is a shiny cloth called "geena silk" at P30/yard at lace stores.
The side buns (for girls with short hair) can be made of a rolled up black yarn attached to a thin black headband.

Finn the human boy, and Jake (Adventure Time)
Who says they can't be TV worthy? Turn your kids into these cartoon celebrity. Adventure Time is one of the most popular animated TV series today and all kids will surely identify them in these outfits.
What you need: - Head piece made of fleece cloth - light blue shirt - dark blue shorts - white socks - black shoes - green back pack - Jake, the best friend dog (optional) - yellowish-beige dog stuff toy with cartolina cut outs for the eyes.
Affordable alternatives: The head piece is a simple design you can make with felt cloth and glue gun.
The back pack can be of any green bulky knap sack. Stuff it with pillow filling or better yet, leave it empty for the collected Halloween treats.

Marcelline the Vampire (Adventure Time)
If your girl is long haired, you don't need much to turn her into this popular cartoon character. Marcelline is the teen vampire friend of Finn and Jake on today's popular cartoon series on TV, 'Adventure Time'. This cool girl, though aged over a thousand years old, rocks with her flying electric guitar.
What you need: - gray sleeveless cotton top - jeans - boots - fangs from toy stores

Princess Bubblegum (Adventure Time)
Adventure Time lovers, live out your fantasy!
What you need: - pink gown - long pink wig - light blue belt - golden tiara
Affordable alternative: Though known for her pink gown. Princes Bubblegum has other gowns in her collection. A polka dotted off-white night gown, a light blue, off-shoulder gown and an elegant white bustier gown. Segunda Mana stores of Caritas sells gowns you can alter for P300. Should you want to sew your own, A geeny satin costs P30/yard. Add a plain organza for P55/yard.
Create your own long wig with a big roll of pink tying straw (P75 hardware stores). Make a long pom-pom of straw strands and split each strand into 4 to make the strands thinner. Give it a smooth look by ironing it in low setting under a paper.
Make your own tiara with a gold plastic foil bought at bookstores.
