  • Celebrate National Children’s Book Day

    In case you didn’t know, July 19 was National Children’s Day. To celebrate, The Philippine Board on Books for Young People (PBBY) and is having week-long activities. This weekend, they’re holding a book fair and loads of talks on children’s literature. The 2016 National Children’s Book Fair will be showcasing Filipino children’s books by local publishers, including this year’s PBBY winners.  The Children’s Literature Talks will range from topics about stories, reading, learning and promoting literature. It’s all happening on Saturday, July 23, at Xavier School, San Juan. For the schedule of talks, visit the PBBY Facebook page.  


    Learn how to talk to your child about love and sex

    Don’t let your child’s first learnings about love and sex come from their friends and the media. Learn how you can effectively talk to your child about these seemingly embarrassing subjects and how much ground you should cover at Manila Workshop’s The Askable Parent: How to Talk to Your Kids about Sexuality, Love & Relationships workshop. Leading the session will be Pammy Godoy, a United Nations Officer who has worked with the Department of Education and the Department of Health on issues relating to children, parenting and reproductive health.     Learn more about your child and speech therapy

    Raising a child who has been diagnosed with speech and language disorder? You may find the help your child will need at a series of talks at the first convention of the Philippine Association of Speech Pathologists (PASP) called Beyond Borders to be held at SMX Convention Center in SM Aura, Taguig on July 23 and 24.     Learn what to expect at a new parents workshop

    Expecting parents? New mom or dad? Learn a thing or two at a workshop just for you. Manila Workshops, in partnership with The Parenting Emporium, is bringing back their First Time Parents workshop series.
