If you grew up in the '90s, you probably watched teen shows like Tabing Ilog, Gimik, Ang TV, and TGIS. Nothing will truly remind you of your age quite like realizing that the '90s were not 10 years ago, and many of those young kids are now playing parents or are already parents in real life. Here are 10 showbiz stars who have made the successful transition from teen idol to mature, adult parents.
Julia Montes got her start in showbiz as a cast member for the kiddie variety show Goin' Bulilit, where she met her close friend and future Mara Clara co-star, Kathryn Bernardo. They later appeared together in the 2011 teen show, Growing Up.
Parent role: Yes, she may only be 21 in real life, but this actress made the transition to mature roles pretty early on. Her characters in 2012's Walang Hanggan and 2014's Ikaw Lamang eventually became mothers. Her currently airing show, Doble Kara, also has her playing a mom.
Jodi Sta. Maria
Jodi Sta. Maria was already a very familiar face for teens in the '90s, appearing in hit series like Gimik and more notably, Tabing Ilog (where she was paired with Baron Geisler). She went on to play supporting roles until she nabbed her big break in 2012's Be Careful With My Heart.
Parent role: The real-life mom has a long string of mother roles, including 2012's Mundo Man ay Magunaw (where she was mom to Nikki Gil), 2012's Be Careful With My Heart (she had twins with Sir Chief), and Pangako Sa 'Yo (she was the vengeful Amor Powers in search of her lost child). More recently, she was mom to Bimb Aquino-Yap in 2015's All You Need is Pag-ibig.
Patrick Garcia was everywhere in the '90s, from Ang TV and Separada in the early '90s to Gimik, Tabing Ilog, and Rollerboys a few years later. He went on to do starring and supporting roles in different networks.
Parent role: In 2013, he joined the cast of the family drama, Annaliza, alongside former teen actors Denise Laurel, Kaye Abad, and Carlo Aquino. In real life, he is father to three kids: one with his former girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado, and two with his wife, Nikka Martinez.
Angelica Panganiban was only 6 when she entered showbiz. After prominent roles in Ang TV and Sarah...Ang Munting Prinsesa, she went on to do teen-oriented projects like Berks and Gimik, where she was paired with Carlo Aquino.

Parent role: In 2013, he starred in the modern-day remake of the '90s drama Villa Quintana. In the show, he played the patriarch Robert Quintana (previously portrayed by Joel Torre). In real life, he has two daughters with his ex, Lian Paz.
When Shaina Magdayao was a teen actress, she starred in shows like 2002's K2BU (with Bea Alonzo and Pia Wurtzbach) and 2006's Abt Ur Love. She later branched out into popular primetime dramas (Lobo, Rubi, Juan dela Cruz) and even films like the Ang Tanging Ina franchise and 2013's On The Job (alongside Piolo Pascual).
Parent role: Shaina portrayed a young mother in the OFW-themed series Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo. The 26-year-old also played the mother of Marco Masa in the recently concluded series, Nathaniel.
In the late '90s to early 2000s, Jericho Rosales was a cast member of Oka Tokat, a youth-oriented paranormal show where he was paired with Angelika dela Cruz. Early in her career, Kaye Abad was paired with John Lloyd Cruz in teen shows like Tabing Ilog and Gimik. As she grew older, she transitioned to doing heavy dramas.
Parent role: The 33-year-old actress has played a handful of moms over the years, including Minerva in 2009's May Bukas Pa, Jenny in 2011's Angelito: Batang Ama, and the evil Stella in 2013's Annaliza.

Parent role: It's no surprise that he plays plenty of dad roles now, but the most interesting one is the 2003 drama Darating Ang Umaga, where he was the dad to his now-leading lady, Jodi Sta. Maria.
