It’s early in the morning, and you’ve been up all night. Who wants to bother with a big breakfast ordeal? But you still want your little one to get his nutrients for the first meal of the day, right? Here are five hassle-free recipes that your toddler may enjoy, and that you won’t have a hard time at all whipping up.
What’s even better, if you prepare a double portion, you’ll enjoy a healthy breakfast with your baby, too!
Scramble the eggs in a frying pan with olive oil, then drizzle with grated cheddar cheese. Yum yum! As an alternative, you can mix the cheese into the egg before you scramble it, for a melted cheesy dish.
Give baby his calcium needs with a bowl of plain yoghurt, sweetened with honey, and made even more delicious with healthy fresh fruits! Try bananas, papayas or mango for an easy mix. Then, place the leftovers in the fridge for snack!
In a bowl, mix a cup of flour, 2 cups of milk, 1 egg and a pinch of salt. Heat a frying pan with butter or oil, then scoop your mix into the pan while turning it in a circular motion to get a nice big, round crepe size. Once cooked on one side, flip it to finish the other. Serve on a plate, top with honey or fresh fruits, and roll up into a yummy meal.
If your baby likes finger food, this will be a winner. Toast some whole wheat bread, slice it into small pieces, then let him dip it in a bowl of cottage cheese (seasoned with salt). Just monitor him so you don’t end up with a messy floor to clean up!
