  • In an ideal world, kids will ask for plain apple for dessert. In reality, it does not happen often even for us grown-ups. But do fruits in dessert, then you suddenly get requests for seconds from everybody. So we recommend using these dessert fruit recipes as reward after a hard week of work in school or in the office--and in moderation. We live in a tropical country where wide variety of sweet fruit are within arm’s reach no matter the time of year. Let us take advantage.

    2. Minatamis na Saging

Mangoes are always a winner. One cup already satisfies your daily vitamin C. They also contain vitamin A, vitamin B-6 and vitamin K. Sweet and creamy, they’re perfect in desserts, too!

    5. Grape Dessert Cups

Make an extra healthy dessert by adding sweetened yogurt and nuts to grapes. Remember, grapes make fun finger food but, if you’re serving these to little kids, make sure to slice them so they don’t pose as a choking hazard. Go for the seedless variety, so you and the kids don’t have to fuss with pips.

    Takes 5 minutes
    Makes 4 servings

1/2 kilo seedless red and green grapes
2 cups sweetened yogurt (plain or berry-flavored)
    sliced almonds
