• Is it true that honey must not be given to kids under age 6?

Should you keep honey off-limits to your tot?

Kids below age 6 do not yet have the resistance for Clostridium botulinum—a group of bacteria that can cause muscular paralysis. Honey provides a good growth medium for this type of bacteria, and some fatal cases have been seen in the past.

The risks are not much for adults though, so you can still enjoy your honey. Be sure to buy your honey fresh, and don’t store it for too long.
