Weekends are best spent with family, and what better way to spend quality time with them than in the kitchen? Bring out your inner chef with this easy no-bake treat!
This icebox cake gives the ol' banana split a twist. You can also try swtiching (or adding) other kinds of fruit like pineapple tidbits or kiwi slices. Go for your kids' favorite fruits and they would could not resist asking for seconds, especially if they helped you make it.
Serves 2 Prep Time 15 minutes
Here's what you'll need:
9 chocolate wafers (we used Nissin) 11/2 cups whipped cream 1 banana, sliced into rounds 6 strawberries, halved 1/4 cup white chocolate chips Chocolate sauce, for drizzling
1 Place 3 wafers side by side on a baking sheet or flat plate lined with parchment paper. Spread whipped cream on the wafers.
2 Layer bananas and strawberries on top.
3 Add another layer of wafers. Continue layering cream, fruits, and wafers on top of each other until you make 3 layers. Spread whipped cream on top.
4 Arrange remaining fruit on top of the cream. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
5 Drizzle chocolate sauce on top. Chill for at least 3 hours or overnight.
Tip: Want to make a bigger cake? Use an 8x8-inch pan.
