No one would refuse the idea of being surrounded by clean air -- after all, it pays to keep the home a healthy space. This is probably why each time we see a tip that promises to improve the air we breathe, we immediately try it out.
We've put together a few foolproof ways that can help boost indoor oxygen and get rid of any unwanted toxins. You will definitely want to do them at home:
1. Clean the air vents. This is the first and most important thing you have to do to improve the air quality in your home. Even if you splurge on the best air filter or the most expensive deodorizers, it won't work if your heating and cooling system is clogged with dust and grime.
2. Display plants that purify the air. There are a handful of green wonders that aren't for decor purposes only—some of them are all-natural humidifiers. 3. Invest in an air filter. While we can always rely on the power of plants, it can't hurt to have a little help from technology to make sure you're breathing clean air at home. 4. Change the bedding regularly. Since we lay on our beds for a good amount of time, we tend to inhale everything that clings on to it. Make it a habit to wash pillowcases, sheets, and comforters at least twice a month to reduce your exposure to allergens and dust mites.
5. Consider using charcoal. Humidity is the enemy of air purification because bacteria thrives well in the presence of moisture.
