We’d pay good money to have our pantry restocked on days that we don’t have the time to do a supermarket run, which was why we were happy to see there are more online groceries now. Last March, we wrote about five, and one of those we keenly awaited was HappyFresh, Asia’s leading online grocery company. Not only is it operational, but it has now entered into an exclusive partnership with Robinsons Supermarket, one of the country’s largest supermarket chains. What it means: We get to do our grocery shopping in 2,000 square meters of floor space without leaving our bed--and groceries delivered to our doorstep in one hour! Yey!
Jody Gadia, general manager of Robinsons Supermarket, said the collaboration will allow its supermarket chain’s customers to purchase necessities at their convenience with a next-hour delivery via HappyFresh’s desktop and mobile application. “As the first major retailer to promote health and wellness, Robinsons Supermarket is aligned with HappyFresh in their effort to promote healthy living through high quality and fresh food,” Gadia added.
The collaboration marks the first partnership for HappyFresh in the Philippines. HappyFresh partners with established retailers to offer customers more choices at a wide range of price point. And by limiting the radius, HappyFresh is able to ensure that the order can be delivered within an hour. HappyFresh has operations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and the Philippines. As HappyFresh’s first partner, Robinsons Supermarket, a subsidiary of Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc., has 20 branches in Metro Manila serving HappyFresh customers. Ready to shop? Click here.
