As busy parents, it’s hard to find quality time with the kids. Why not spend some great bonding time in the great outdoors growing your own flowers? That way, you spend quality bonding time with the kids and at the same time get them to enjoy sunshine and nature. Start by clearing a small patch in your garden. A tiny rectangle or square would be perfect. Make a quick trip to a garden supply store for more garden soil. Pick up some flowers seeds, too—they come in every shape and color. Let your kids help you plant the seeds and water the pots, and get a thrill seeing their enthusiasm as they watch their plants develop.
Here’s another fun way to get your kids to participate in caring for your plants: Play a guessing game! Ask them how tall they think the plant will be or what color of blooms it’ll have. You can also let them draw a picture of the plant as it grows.
