What is Halloween without the requisite mask? Here’s something you and your kids can easily make.

    You will need

    • Paper plate
    • Pencil
    • Scissors
    • Paint
    • Permanent markers
    • Collage materials
    • Yarn or rubber bands
    • Tape
    • Puncher

    How to make

    1. Hold up the paper plate to your child’s face. Using a pencil, carefully mark the place where his eyes, nose, and mouth are. Ask your child to do the same for your plate.
    2. Draw holes for the eyes, nose, and mouth. Carefully cut them out with scissors. Make sure the holes for the eyes are big enough for you to look through.
    3. Decorate the mask with the materials on hand. You may want to cut out the plate into a special shape. Add as many details using the collage materials. Yarn would be great for hair or a mane, pipe cleaners for antennas, a button for a nose, and glitters for rosy cheeks.
    4. Punch a hole on both sides of your mask. Then loop in a piece of yarn or rubber band through the holes.
