Make a list and create categories. Make an excel file record of everyone on your list, your budget per person, and actual price of the purchased gift. By doing this, you can double check if you have gone over-budget on certain purchases and adjust the cost of remaining gifts on your list.
You can keep adding a new worksheet to your file each year and just refer to the old one so you don’t end up giving the same gift to someone the following year. It can even just be a handwritten list. The idea is to make a visual plan that helps you stay on track.
