• Human Nature Launches Hair Donation Drive for Cancer Patients

The campaign encourages others to share a piece of themselves -- literally -- to those in need
  • A woman’s crowning glory, a head full of hair carries a meaningful significance linked to one’s self-perception. However, for some women who must lose their hair in order to survive, having beautiful hair fulfills more than just an aesthetic need – it means reclaiming a life that is normal and dignified.

Human Nature understands this, and has thus partnered with Cuts Against Cancer and Louis Phillip Kee Premier Salon to launch their latest campaign called The Gift of Healthy Hair. It’s a campaign that celebrates two faces of bravery: the bravery to let go of something that means so much to you, and the bravery to continue with life even when your luscious locks have been unjustly stripped away from you due to chemotherapy. This campaign is meant to also encourage others to share a piece of themselves; to share The Gift of Healthy Hair.

Cuts Against Cancer is an organization that donates high quality medical wigs for kids and women with cancer in countries where people can’t afford to buy wigs. Its founder, Ran Fridman, is a passionate advocate as he is all too familiar with cancer, having lost his grandparents to this disease as well as having a mother who’s fought and survived through breast cancer.

Louis Phillip Kee Premier Salon is also not a stranger to giving back, as the owner himself, Mr. Louis Phillip Kee, one of the country’s most sought-after hair stylists, has been nothing but supportive and has gone above and beyond to support this campaign by providing his salon’s talents and resources to all those willing to donate their hair.

Ultimately, choosing to donate one’s hair is a choice to give away a beautiful part of oneself, a sacrifice made so that others may continue to live with confidence and pride. So take care of those tresses and make sure to share The Gift of Healthy Hair.

If you’d like to help The Gift of Healthy Hair campaign, you can drop off your hair donations (gathered into a ponytail and properly placed inside a plastic bag, with your name on a piece of paper) at any Louis Phillip Kee branch. For more information, visit humanheartnature.com.
