At the Daytona 500 race, Disney Pixar aired an extended look for their upcoming movie Cars 3. It focuses on the next generation cars that will go against Lightning McQueen (still voiced by Owen Wilson). It looks like a tall order -- the new cars are better, stronger, and faster, with his biggest rival being the young and flashy Jackson Storm (voiced by Armie Hammer). "You'll never be the racer you once were. You can't turn back the clock. But you can wind it up again," the voice-over said. He's surely going to need the help of his new younger race technician, Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo) to figure out how he can beat the new generation of cars. Or will McQueen retire from racing soon? We'll have to wait until June 17, 2016, when Cars 3 opens in theaters to find out. (gamespot.com)
Remember Nokia 3310!
When Finnish network equipment maker Nokia announced that it will bring back the Nokia 3310, everyone was nostalgic about how sturdy it was (hence the name, brick phone), and started reminiscing about how well they played its built-in game, Snake. Well, the new Nokia 3310 has gotten a sleek upgrade and now comes in bright solid colors with a bigger screen, web-surfing ready, and a two-megapixel camera. It hardly goes up against smartphones of today, but with a battery that has 22-hour talk time and no preloaded apps, it might be the best backup phone. Nokia's new owners HMD Global also released three new phones and is banking on the new 3310 for the company's re-entry into the mobile phone market. The original 3310 was launched in 2000 and sold nearly 120 million units worldwide before it was discontinued in 2005, making it one of the world’s best-selling mobile phones. (inquirer.net)
