WATCH: Scarlet Snow's 2nd birthday party video is here!
It's been five months since the adorable daughter of Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho celebrated her second birthday, but it's only now that they released videos from the event. "Finally it's here," the mom of three announced on Instagram, uploading not just one but three videos from Scarlet Snow's party. It was held last March 4 at Whitespace Manila, which was transformed into a pink world fit for a princess and a dreamland for all the kiddie guests, including bubbles, parachute decors, balloons, and unicorns!
This is actually the first time we are given a peek into a Scarlet Snow birthday celebration, since the public did not know about her until May 2016 when her parents announced that the cute baby in the Belo Baby commercial is their own child, conceived via IVF and born through surrogacy. She's currently one of the most-followed celebrity babies on Instagram. (cnnphilippines.com)
Candy wows in movie about mom who has son with Down Syndrome
The actress and mom wows in her latest role: a devoted mother, Nadia, who would do everything to protect VanVan, her son who has Down Syndrome, including his dream of becoming an actor. Candy said during the press conference that it's her son, Quentin, who was once diagnosed with autism (it was ruled out three years ago), who inspired her to play the role Nadia with conviction. "There are so many challenges a differently-abled child faces, like their speech and motor skills. Then you look for something to blame, like what went wrong or why the child turned out that way… I went through all those things," Candy shared. Director Randolph Longias added, "We made this film not for the families who have a member with Down Syndrome, but for Filipinos who don’t have. They are the ones who lack awareness and who don’t have interaction with them." Star na si Van Damme Stallone is an official entry to the ongoing Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino (PPP) of the Film Development Council of the Philippines. The nationwide festival runs until August 22.
