    Stellar is absolutely adorable in a new set of photos from her black-and-gold-themed shoot with parents Kean and Chynna. In an exclusive interview with Smartparenting.com.ph last year, Chynna said they are consciously not posting photos of their one-year-old daughter because they want to keep their family life sacred. She first gave the public a glimpse of Stellar with a family photo posted on Instagram last Christmas. The latest snap was shot by Nice Print Photography.

    2. Classes to resume on Tuesday
    Classes in public schools are set to resume tomorrow, Tuesday, after the Christmas break, says the Department of Education. It has been moved from the original date of January 2 after President Duterte declared it as a special non-working holiday. Meanwhile, private schools are given the discretion to set their own schedule for class resumption as long as they comply with the required 180 days of classes for the school year. (philstar.com)

    3. In photos: Paulina Sotto and Jed Llanes tie the knot on new year's day
    The daughter of veteran TV host Vic Sotto and former actress Angela Luz has tied the knot on January 1, 2017. Paulina, an artist, said 'I do' to musician Jed Llanes at Pico de Loro Beach and Country Club in Batangas after more than two years of dating. Their family and close friends, including Paulina's half-sister Danica Sotto-Pingris, half-brother Vico Sotto, and Aiza Seguerra and wife Liza Dino, were in attendance. The father of the bride also gave a heartfelt rendition of Sting's "Fields of Gold" which he dedicated to the newlyweds. Jed is the great grandson of former Phiippine president Diosdado Macapagal, while Paulina is the granddaughter of National Artist for visual arts Arturo Luz. They became engaged last February.     4. "Bambi" artist dies at 106
    The artist who illustrated the 1942 Disney animated film "Bambi" has died. Tyrus Wong, whose distinct drawing style was highly praised, however was discriminated against and did not receive recognition until he was in his 90s because he was of Asian descent. Aside from "Bambi", his work also included “The Sands of Iwo Jima” (1949), “Rebel Without a Cause” (1955) and “The Wild Bunch” (1969). (nytimes.com)

    5. Three new year babies born in one hospital in Albay
    2017 was ushered in with the birth of two baby girls and one baby boy at the Josefina Belmonte Duran Memorial District Hospital in Ligao, Albay. The babies, who according to Chinese Zodiac are born in the year of the Fire Rooster, are yet to be named. Congratulations! (gmanetwork.com)
