  • In time for the celebration of World First Aid Day (WFAD) on September 10, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) recently launched First Aid PH. "It's a mobile application that offers instant access to instructions on how to administer basic first aid measures," reports Manila Bulletin.

The app — which gives access to Red Cross Hotline 143 — features videos demonstrating interventions for emergencies such as sprains, allergy attacks, burns, broken bones, choking, heat strokes, poisoning, and so on. It also includes information on Zika virus, dengue fever, Chikungunya virus, and heart ailments.

Moreover, the app provides checklists to help in preparing for disasters like typhoons, volacanic eruptions, and earthquakes.

First Aid PH can be accessed even when the user is offline. It can be downloaded for free via the App Store for Apple users and the Play Store for Android users.
