  • 1. See photos of Gary Valenciano's first grandchild

The whole Valenciano family is on cloud nine ever since the new addition to their family arrived. "It's a day of many many firsts. My first born has his first child. First time to be welcomed into the world of grandparenthood. My first grandchild," Mr. Pure Energy wrote as caption for an Instagram photo of him holding Baby Leia, who was born to Paolo Valenciano and wife Samantha Godinez last November 2. "The first time to see my son walk out of the delivery room with the nurse who handed Leia to him for him to carry... the thought of which still brings tears to my eyes," he added. "I'm beyond blessed to have witnessed the ushering in of a new soul into our family today. I will always love you Paolo and Sam... and Leia," he said. Congratulations! (pep.ph)

    2. Jaclyn Jose shows her support once again on Instagram

When Andi Eigenmann posted a photo of her and her 4-year-old daughter, Ellie, on Instagram, actress Jaclyn Jose made this comment: "Andi sa lahat ng laban, kasama mo ako. Walang kukuha kay Ellie. Like what I have said na may nanggaya, I will protect Ellie with my life. Wag na sana may manggugulo na nagpapanggap." It seemed to be another feisty follow up to the comment she previously made on Jake Ejercito's Instagram after he posted a photo of him and Ellie dressed as prince and princess last Halloween. Jake, however, is keeping mum on issue and has asked his followers instead to stop the bashing. "I posted this photo as a reminder of the wonderful day Ellie and I shared. Please take your negativity elsewhere. None of your hate will ruin our smiles," he wrote. He captioned another post of him and his daughter, "Some vibes can't be killed." (pep.ph)

    3. Sunshine Cruz admits she's happy

The actress and mom of three can't hide her happiness and her "kilig" when she and fellow actress and friend Ara Mina guested on the morning talk show Magandang Buhay. If you still don't know, Ara's half-brother, Macky Mathay, is Sunshine's current love. It's the first time Sunshine has addressed any talk about her new relationship. "Safe to say na, yes, I am happy now. Masaya ako at masaya ang mga anak ko para sa akin," she announced. After the two women shared how the whirlwind romance started, Macky calls in for a surprise interview via phone. His message: "Madaling magsabi ng mahal kita pero ang promise ko na lang sa kanya ay araw-araw ko pa din siyang liligawan." (abs-cbn.com)

Netflix released a new teaser for the highly anticipated new series A Series of Unfortunate Events to introduce the evil villain Count Olaf. Unlike the first one where Lemony Snicket talks about the show's production, this time, we get a sneak peek of the Baudelaire kids, whom Count Olaf, played by Neil Patrick Harris, takes under his care, not out of love but really to steal their parents’ fortune. Harris did not disappoint as the grotesque, creepy, and just plain awful new guardian to the siblings, Violet, Klaus and Sunny, who now need to outsmart his devious plans. A Series of Unfortunate Events' eight-episode first season premieres on Netflix on January 13. (people.com)

    5. The new Wonder Woman trailer seeks to inspire women

The newest trailer for the DC Comics famous heroine couldn't come at a more appropriate time in the United States where election day nears and based on polls, the presumed winner will be Hillary Clinton. Gal Gadot stars in Wonder Woman, who teams up with Chris Pine's character to fight “the war that ends all wars," but ends up stopping bullets with her powers to defend men and the world. "It's a sacred duty to defend the world, and it's what I'm going to do," Diana, a.k.a Wonder Woman, says in the trailer. She tells Glamour magazine about her version of the character. "It was important for me that we show how independent she is. She is not relying on a man, and she's not there because of a love story. She's not there to serve someone else." Wonder Woman will be out in theaters on June 2 next year. (eonline.com
