Another new year celebration is upon us as we usher in the Chinese New Year on January 28. As expected, feng shui experts are giving their own forecasts and predictions for the Year of the Fire Rooster. But our favorite fearless forecast has to be this one: It turns out it's a very good year to have a baby!
Feng shui expert Princess Lim Fernandez delivered the good news, saying it's an auspicious year for marriage and relationships. “The Rooster is very charismatic, one of the romance signs of the zodiac. The ruling star of the year is the Romance Star. It’s a good year for relationships, to get married, to have a baby. Those planning to have a child should not wait until the Year of the Dog (in 2018),” she told Inquirer.net.
That's not all. A baby born this year is going to be smart, according to Fernandez. She explains that babies born in the Year of the Fire Rooster are likely to receive twin lucky gifts -- the academic luck and benefactor luck. (Take note, moms, Fernadez says the next time babies will be showered with these two lucky gifts will be in the year 2023, or the year of the Water Rabbit.)
Academic luck means children born in the year of the Fire Rooster "will never have a need for tutoring" and will have an innate "quest for knowledge," Fernandez explains. The chance to never worry about your child's future? Who does not want that great fortune?
Benefactor luck means that Fire Rooster kids "will always have someone to support them and help them," she added. Luck is really shining on you if you will always have someone to turn to when he encounters setbacks in life. You'll never have to worry about your child's support system growing up.
Astrologer Joey Yap agrees it's a good year to welcome babies into this world. Children born in the year of the Fire Rooster are often creative people and do well in the field of business. "That's why people in the olden days predicted that those born in the Year of the Fire Rooster would be wealthy because they're hardworking and knowledgeable in business," he told Asia One.
The only downside, according to Yap, is people under the Fire Rooster sign tend to be "blunt and sharp when they speak." These babies may need extra help with their people skills.
Of course, we don't let the stars take charge of our child's future. But, if you've been thinking or planning to have one, this year seems to be an auspicious one, at least according to feng shui experts. Whatever happens, you can enjoy the process while you're at it!
