Toni and Paul Soriano are officially parents! Finally!
Just two hours ago, Paul announced via a post on Instagram the arrival of their first child, a baby boy. "Severiano Elliot Gonzaga Soriano (Seve) has arrived!" the new dad wrote.
The couple welcomed their baby boy this morning, September 30, 2016 at 5:23 a.m. at St. Luke's Medical Center in Bonifacio Global City. Baby Seve weighed 7.2 pounds at birth. "Tin and Seve are doing great ang now taking is easy. Thank you for all your prayers and support. God bless," Paul added. The new parents have yet to share a photo of their newborn. We can't wait to see him. Congratulations!
On September 28, two days before she gave birth, Toni posted on Instagram a photo of her showing off her baby bump with the caption, "Ready when you are," and tagged her husband.
On September 27, Toni attended the premiere of sister Alex Gonzaga’s movie My Rebound Girl although she was already experiencing contractions, according to sister Alex.
"Thank you for coming and staying for the whole movie kahit nagcocontract ka na," Alex wrote on Instagram. Alex also thanked her new nephew for delaying his entry into this world, letting her "inang ate" to watch the movie.
"I love you ate. Even if you have a new baby on the way, you never forget to be a big sister to me. That’s why I know you’ll be the best mommy!" Alex added. The new tita has said she's excited to carry and "panggigilan" her nephew.
As early as February this year, Pep.phreported the TV host already had a bun in the oven. Toni, however, only confirmed it at the ABS-CBN Sunday noontime show ASAP in April. "Our love story ay nagbunga na and yes, God finally opened my womb and I'm expecting my first child," she said. She added she delayed announcement upon her doctor's approval.
The couple, who celebrated their first year wedding anniversary last June, has been excited to welcome their baby boy. When asked about his new role as a father, Paul said, "I was prepared even before we got married. I was ready then and I’m ready now." Toni, on the other hand, admitted she was afraid of giving birth, and prayed hard for a normal delivery.
