    Actress Jennica Garcia welcomed her first child with husband Alwyn Uytingco yesterday, July 16. The couple welcomed a daughter they named Athena Mori, who weighed 7.12 pounds at birth. Jennica, the daughter of actress Jean Garcia and former actor-turned-public servant Jigs Garcia, tied the knot with Alwyn in February 2014 after almost four years together.     2. Obama bans cell phones on the dining table
    The U.S. President made a simple request last Wednesday to young people who spend more than eight hours in front of screens. While announcing the “Connect Home” initiative that will provide Internet access to low-income communities, President Barack Obama also shared some advice on connectivity. “There’s nothing wrong with every once in a while putting the technology aside and actually having a conversation,” he said, adding that he also tells his daughters this and that he and the First Lady don’t allow cell phones at the dinner table.     The new mom is having a blast traveling in Bangkok with her daughter James in tow, thanks to breastfeeding! Blake Lively posted a breastfeeding snapshot on her Instagram and captioned it, “The PERKS of breastfeeding. #YesThatsRiceInMyHair #BlondevsBronde #BrondeJamesBronde.” Clearly, she’s having the best of both worlds as this was shot in between shooting her scenes for the upcoming movie “All I See Is You” and while visiting the local scenic spots with daughter James.     4. Disney is working on another live action remake
    Now that we’ve seen how Maleficent turned evil, Disney is already working on a story about how the Aladdin’s Genie ended up in that lamp. While the 1992 animated film focused on the story of Aladdin, “Genies” will focus on the realm of, well, the Genies. The new live-action comedy adventure will be produced by Tripp Vinson (San Andreas), who is also producing “Bob The Musical,” the studios music-inclined comedy, and “Prince Charming” for Disney.     5. New “Pan” trailer introduces new crocodile
    The new trailer for the new Peter Pan film takes its audience to a time in Neverland when Garett Hedlund’s Hook hasn’t yet lost a hand to the crocodile, which in the trailer is so huge and terrifying it's almost understandable why Hook develops a phobia of it. New footage also shows a glimpse of a flying Peter (played by Levi Miller) and Rooney Mara’s Tiger Lily, as they lead an uprising against Hugh Jackman’s pirate Blackbeard. (huffingtonpost.com)
