    2. Fish, milk, and cheese vital for unborn babies' IQ development
    Many moms-to-be are not eating enough fish, milk, or cheese, according to a new study. These are foods rich in iodine, which helps develop an unborn baby's intelligence quotient, or IQ. Iodine is required for the production of thyroid hormones, crucial for the baby’s brain and nervous system development in the womb and in early childhood. The study, published in the "British Journal of Nutrition," surveyed more than thousand women who were pregnant or mothers of children aged up to three years, and found that only 12 percent know about the importance on iodine.
