    Kapuso primetime queen Marian Rivera showed of her baby bump in all its glory as she posed for the cover of Esquire magazine. Wearing just a brassiere top and pants, the #ProudMomToBe said, "Ito talaga ang dream ko, ang maging mom. At alam kong ibang ligaya ang maibibigay ko sa asawa ko kapag nagkaanak kami. Dahil si Dingdong, lahat ng pagmamahal at pag-aalaga, ginagawa niya sa akin. Kaya lahat din, gagawin ko para magkaroon kami ng happy family at soon, magiging big." She is currently eight months pregnant and is due to give birth any time now. She and husband actor-producer Dingdong Dantes is more than excited to welcome their first baby, a daughter they will name Maria Letizia. (pep.ph)

    2. Amazon extends its parental benefits
    The new benefits of the online store giant are: new moms can take up to 20 weeks (previously only eight weeks) of maternity leave with full pay while new dads can take up to six weeks (previously none at all) of fully paid paternity leave. Birth mothers can now get four weeks paid leave before their due date and another 10 weeks after. Employees can also share their parental leave with a partner who doesn't get paid leave. When new parents get back to work, they can opt for a flexible schedule for the first eight weeks back. The announcement comes after a New York Times article in August said that the company is a "bruising workplace" and is hostile to employees with families. (cnn.com)

    3. A Second Chance teaser trailer out

    The most awaited sequel to the hit 2007 movie "One More Chance" is now out. Titled, "A Second Chance" the new teaser trailer takes us back to the wedding day of Popoy, played by John Lloyd Cruz, and Basha, played by Bea Alonzo. The movie will tackle the happy times as well as the hardships and challenges of married life. The movie is set to premiere on November 2015. (rappler.com)

    4. Kids with dogs less likely to develop asthma
    Children who are raised in a house with dogs or farm animals during their first year of life have a lower risk of developing asthma, according to a new study. Researchers found that early exposure to dogs and farm animal reduced the rate of asthma in preschool-age and school-age kids. They are still looking for a direct link to explain the results of the study. However, researchers argue that it might be due to the family's lifestyle when they have dogs or farm animals: being exposed to household dirt and pet dust and spending time outdoors and being physically active.     5. Groundbreaking study suggets marijuana could reduce seizures in children
    Premilinary data of the U.S. Foood And Drug Administration-approved cannabioil (CBD) drug Epidiolex revealed that more than 50 percent of the 137 children and young adult who take the drug have greatly reduced the number of seizures thay are expriencing. The findings are certainly "encouraging" as it could be the first steps to using CBD to effectively treat epilepsy in children. The results of the ongoing trial are already giving researchers and children with epilepsy hope of at least a semblance of normal life. (huffingtonpost.com)
