    2. Disney Store gets rid of gender-biased signs
Following the move by retail giant Target, Disney store in the U.S. is also getting rid of gender-biased signs in their bedding and toy sections. It’s a bold move to help eliminate defined, rigid roles. This year, instead of grouping Halloween costumes for girls and for boys, all of the costumes are listed together and labeled simply as “Costumes For Kids,” or “Costumes For Babies,” “Costume Accessories,” and “Halloween Clothes.” The new costumes, tagged as "I Am Awesome" costumes are also labeled differently: “Cinderella Deluxe Costume for Kids,” “Ultimate Spider-man Costume for Kids,” etc., allowing the kids to choose more freely. 3. Ryan Reynolds loves daddy life without a nanny
The first-time dad gave a peek into his new life as a father—which he absolutely loves, by the way—when he graced the cover of GQ's upcoming October issue. Ryan Reynolds and wife, actress Blake Lively, welcomed their daughter James nine months ago, and they’ve been quite hush-hush when it comes to sharing details about the new addition in the family. Ryan says he has no problem waking up in the middle of the night, changing diapers because looking at her daughter wipes away all the exhaustion. “I like it: I mean that in the heaviest context. I genuinely like it. I like being a father. I like having a daughter. I would like to have more kids. It seems to suit me pretty well,” he says in an interview for the men’s’ magazine. 4. Apple is kids’ favorite fruit
A new study that will be published in the October issue of Pediatrics looked at fruit consumption of kids ages two to 19 and what they actually like to eat. The result? They love apples. The study, conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, also found that 53 percent of kids in the U.S. prefers fruit in its purest and healthiest form, while others prefer 100-percent juice drinks. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a diet that is rich in fruits and vegetables to help lower the risk for health complications such as diabetes, stroke, and cancer. The recommended daily amount for kids ages one to 18 is two cups of fruit per day. (usnews.com)

    5. Twisted Crust Pizza, anyone?
The company that brought us cheese-filled or hot-dog-stuffed crust has yet another new innovation in their product. Pizza Hut is offering a regular marinara-sauced pizza with an add-on of breadsticks for crusts. These breadsticks can be torn off the pizza and dipped into two new dipping sauces—Buffalo Ranch or Cheddar Cheese—created just for this special pizza. "We believe our new Twisted Crust Pizza is the ultimate flavor combination of these two popular items that consumers will absolutely love," said vice president of marketing Jared Drinkwater.  The Twisted Crust Pizza is only available in the U.S., but there's a possibility it might be available in other countries.
