Following the footsteps of Hello Kitty, Japan is set to open the very first Peanuts Café this year. The café is based on the theme of “the American west coast” and will have a rustic, relaxing vibe. Of course, the café will feature the character from the famous comic series and even the menu will be completely Peanuts-themed, including entrees such as Goose Egg Sliders from the four Goose Egg characters in Charlie’s baseball team. The café is set to open on October 2, the date Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, and Woodstock and the rest of the Peanuts gang celebrate their birthday, also the brand's 65th years of existence. 2. Kraft extends recall of Singles
Kraft Heinz recalled its Kraft Singles product just this July -- and now it is expanding its coverage. The reason for the recall is a problem with the packaging film, which affects 10 times as many cases as it first thought. More than 355,000 more Kraft Singles were recalled because the thin strip of packaging may stick to the cheese slice and may create a choking hazard. The recall now also covers 1-, 3-, and 4-pound Kraft Singles American and White American cheese with the “Best When Used By” dates from December 12, 2015 to March 2, 2016. (huffingtonpost.com)

Miraloma Elementary in San Francisco, California says it has received positive support from its local community after changing the signs differentiating boys and girls bathrooms to gender-neutral restrooms. The change was made in the restrooms used by students in kindergarten and first grade, where the bathroom had only a single stall that can only be used by one kid at a time. This is to acknowledge a group of about eight students who are either transgender or do not identify with traditional gender norms. “We want to make sure every kid feels safe and secure and happy,” Miraloma Elementary PTS president Ellen Shatz said.
