The daughter of Kapuso Primetime King and Queen turned nine months old yesterday, August 23. To celebrate this milestone, mom Marian Rivera posted an Instagram video of Baby Zia saying "Mum mum mum!" as dad Dingdong Dantes held her closer to the camera. In an earlier post, she wrote, "Happy 9th month anak. Love, Mum." Marian had revealed before that Zia is already liking music school and socializing with other kids. 2. Neri Naig enters her third trimester
After having a miscarriage last year, the pregnant actress is already on the home stretch of her pregnancy. "Konting konti na lang anak! Tag team tayo kasama ni Daddy! Kahit mahirap, super worth it naman lahat!" Neri wrote as caption to a baby bump selfie she posted on Instagram. She even quipped that though a lot of people are already excited to meet him or her (her baby shower and gender reveal party is set early next month), the little one should stay put until the 38th or 40th week. 4. Penguin Classics to publish Nick Joaquin stories To commemorate the Filipino author's 100th birth anniversary in 2017, major publishing house Penguin will print a collection of stories by Nick Joaquin, one of the country's greatest writers, which will include some of Joaquin's most famous stories including the novel The Woman With Two Navels, at least one of the short stories in his anthology Tropical Gothic, and his play A Portrait of the Artist as Filipino. "His work meditates on the questions and challenges of the Filipino individual’s new freedom after centuries of colonialism, exploring folklore, centuries-old Catholic rites, the Spanish colonial past, magical realism, and baroque splendor and excess," the publishing company wrote. According to Penguin, this will be the first-ever U.S. publication of Joaquin’s work. The Woman Who Had Two Navels and Tales of the Tropical Gothic in paperback and e-book form will be released in April next year. (gmanetwork.com)
