LTFRB‘s Oplan "Isbanero" will deploy over 100 enforcers and personnel to various malls all over Metro Manila to set up passengers’ assistance desks in the mall taxi bays, and also ensure that cab drivers have coins with them to be able to give exact change to their passengers. Complaints against a taxi cab driver will mean a fine of P5,000 for a first offense. Recently, the Lawyers for Commuters Safety and Protection also said they would assign volunteer lawyers to high-traffic areas, such as malls and bus terminals, to give the public “on-the-spot legal assistance” against unscrupulous taxi drivers.
