When was the last time you went away with your family? We’re not talking about trips to the mall where everybody ends up shopping and eating fastfood; we’re talking about leaving your everyday schedule behind and devoting all your energy and attention on each other. Don’t waste anymore time. Pack your bags like this family did, and have a grand time!
Cold Summer Days
Nothing beats a summer vacay spent in Baguio City. My baby loves cold weather and it’s an ideal getaway for my husband and me too. We drove up north and checked in at the lovely Manor Hotel inside Camp John Hay. It was a long drive for my then 10-month-old baby Basti, but we managed to survive. Since my baby got cranky every now and then, we had to make regular stopovers at gasoline stations and restaurants along the way.
We were at the Manor just in time for their Easter Egg Hunt event—my son’s first egg hunt party. We had a blast! I can say the hotel proved to be a great pick—a child-friendly haven for family vacationers. The hotel provides cribs for infants by request. There are also high chairs at the dining hall and a spacious garden area where kids can run and play around. Everything about the place was idyllic and divine. The hotel staff was hospitable and very accommodating, especially to us parents with babies in tow. It was indeed the restful vacation I looked forward to. Basti loved every minute of it! So you see, that’s my formula for a great family trip (especially if you’re traveling with babies and little tots): a workable plan and a kid-friendly place with a bevy of friendly staff members who genuinely takes care of your vacay needs.
