Creating crafts from non-biodegradable materials is one good way of teaching kids to recycle and reuse. Plastic bags take up a huge portion of solid wastes and ends up clogging sewers and in landfills. It poses a threat to the environment because these take years to decay and decompose. Kids can convert these items into something new with creativity and fun, deserving them the "earth ranger artists" badge this summer.
