Does your child have a hankering for cooking shows on TV? Does he enjoy dabbling in baking or cooking with Mommy in the kitchen? Rather than spending on new toys that develop his culinary instincts, why not set up your very own play kitchen at home? Jazer Basan, a.k.a. Mommy Jazz, shares a step-by-step guide to coming up with your child’s very own oven, hats, apron, clay dough pizza, kitchen accessories and more in this feature.

1st craft: the Oven.
Let the kids make their own play kitchen. With mom and dad's help, this craft is a family bonding activity. It will keep the kids busy and happy the whole week.
What you need:
-Large empty carton box
-Aluminum foil
-glue
-bottle and jar caps
-old CD
-clear plastic sheet

Pizza clay dough
What you need:
-2 cups all purpose flour
-1 cup of fine salt
-food coloring
-water
Procedure:
1. Combine flour and salt in a bowl.
2. Add water sparingly to get the needed consistency.
3. Pull a piece of clay dough and add a drop of color and knead it. Yellow for the cheese, red for the pepperoni, green for the bell peppers, black (a combination of green and red) for the sliced olives and plain white for the onions and outer crust.
