sis clare and sis shanelle, i think ok lang naman na magstart na i-orient si baby sa potty chair.although every child is different, yung iba mommies, they start early.depende kung may mga signs na ready na sya i-potty train.nagstart si xian 16 months na,at first inoorient lang din namin sa bago nyang "toy" tapos ayaw din niya sa una and medyo mahirap din since working mom ako tapos di continuous yung pagtuturo.lately nasa stage pa din ako ng pagtetrain and i know it will take months pa talaga before xian get use to it,mahirap nga.hehe.pero good thing may improvement naman.i heard about training pants which is very helpful din daw sa pagpapotty train kase mafefeel nila pag wet na yung pants nila, syempre they become uneasy.baka meron tayong sis dito na seller nun kase wala ko makita sa mall :)

naku, di ko yata alam kung pano na-train si pia pag poops time na... sa gabi na lang kasi kami diaper mula nung nag 18 months sya. since hindi rin ako tutok sa kanya pag may work, nagugulat talaga ko minsan... and i'm proud of her kasi hindi na ko nahirapan sa kanya sa aspetong ito.  :)

sa araw, if she feels like she wants to pee, lalapit lang sa yaya niya or sa mom ko or kahit sino sa min, then sasabi lang sya ng, "PEEEE?" hehe.. patanong pa eh noh? pero yun talaga tono niya--patanong. so ako naman worried kasi baka kako pinipigilan niya lang... so dalidali kami pasok sa loob, pero lagi naman, on-time lang.  ;)

;) nakatipid!

I'll start potty training my baby in a week.  I also would like to try the article from babycenter "potty training in 3 days".

Ask ko lang po, which potty seat is most advisable tp buy?

Right now ginagamit niya palang as stool. At least siguro by the time na ipopotty train ko na sya friends na sila ng potty seat niya.

Ganun nga, they will feel na wet ang pants kaya uneasy sila pero di sila nagkalat sa floor kasi naka-diaper parin. So bumili ako ng baby love pull ups na generic only to find out na hindi yun yung from australia.

@sis clare: same with nigel, ginagamit din ni xian as stool.nagpapakita naman sya ng signs na interested sya yun nga lang medyo uncomfy pa sya everytime tina-try namin na dun sya mag-poop but in time, masasanay din.there are times na inoorient na din namin sya sa big toilet seat.wala namang violent reactions.hehe. in terms of wee time, may routine na sya kapag morning after niya gumising.then he already know how to pull down his pants and pull them up again.

sis, kamusta naman yung pull up pants na na-try mo? ok naman ba? i guess much better nga kung diaper-free na lang din gawin ko kay xian para masanay na din.naku achievement talaga sating mga mommies pag natuto na sila, few months from now,bye-bye diapers hello baby boy briefs na!  :)

@mommy jo, yung na-try ko na pull-ups I wouldnt recommend it for toilet training kasi wala siya nung feature na feel ng bata yung wetness. It's just a regular diaper in a pull-up form. :)

My boy would say when he has to go make wiwi. pero pag pupu ayaw niya, dine-deny pa na nagpupupu na pala siya. What should I do?

MJ, my son is like that too  :(
Gusto lang niya pupu muna sya sa diaper then shoot the poop sa bowl  ??? tas sasabihin sya sa poop bye poo-poo  ::)
Pano ba tuturuan na dun sya sa bowl mag poop, hindi sinuhshoot lang yung poop sa bowl from the diaper  ::)

share ko lang mga mommies about sa pag pupu sa bowl we teach our son na magpupu sa bowl by showing him exactly kung pano gawin un as in kapag magpupu kami ni hubby kasama si baby so nakikita niya how we do it... even yung pag-flush ng pupu nakikita niya (i guess at their age naman they wouldn't mind the smell...=P) pero i guess dun nagstart na maging aware si baby then nun natry niya umupo sa bowl hug ko lang sya para di sya matakot na baka sya mahulog. after he did it i'll show him his poops while praising him then i let him flush his poops and we wave good bye sa pupu niya hehe... =) siguro ang trick lang dun is not to make it a big deal parang nagpplay lang kayo... ngayon even sa potty nakapupu na siya he even describe the shape of his poops... =D

There is a definite time inuupo ko siya sa toilet bowl even hindi siya nagsasabi, usually pagising niya sa morning.  So he is now trained to do his thing in the morning.  Ayaw ng anak ko sa potty seat kaya tiyaga talaga, I will hold him while sitting sa toilet.  If hindi pa siya ready, I'll let him play muna then remind him na lang to inform mommy when he needs to go toilet.

At 18mos, nagsasabi na siya kaya hindi na mahirap for me.  Now, he will remove his brief/shorts, open niya yung bathroom door and pee on his own.

Hi I'm new here and I read the posts about how to start to potty train your kid. My kid is already 2 and a half and she's still having a hard time with potty training. What's worse is that she's not like any other kid that doesn't like the feeling of being wet. Often she plays in the puddle of weewee after she pees on the floor. I tried teaching her several ways like talking to her or going to let her sit every hour on her potty but often she doesn't tell me if she needs to go potty. help??
