A. The key word is supplement. As long as you know that any vitamin you give your child is only a supplement to a healthy diet, then go ahead and buy a multivitamin. I won’t name specific brands but any big name brand or trusted generic brand would be okay for your child. Follow the dosing on the packaging for your child's age and weight. Remember, too much of a good thing sometimes actually has bad side effects. If your child has any medical conditions, is not gaining weight appropriately, or is a vegetarian discuss specific supplementation issues he or she may have with your pediatrician.
