Philosophy Ann Marie Pato, Galileo Program Director, shares that in this highly competitive global economy, the most vital and sought-after skill and competencies are in Math and English.
Method of teaching Galileo's approach to teaching is pro-child. "First, we assess each child's needs then adapt and apply the learning program that best suits him or her. Second, we employ the 5 Learning Centers Method which develops self-learning skills, promotes subject mastery, cultivates more well-rounded studying, and, in the end, improves children's grades in school," enumerates Pato.
“Third, we make study time feel more like playtime for kids because children learn best when they’re having fun.”
Ideal age to start Having kids start as early as the formative preschool years is important, as recent new scientific fidnings show that 3-year-olds have twice as much brain activity as an adult.
Program length Kids ages 3 to 5 take 30 minutes per session, two to three times a week.
Fees P1,400 per month, for both English and Math, twice to thrice weekly sessions, eight to 12 sessions a month
Results Suzette Faustino, mom to Sean, age 5, observes that she saw her child’s progress right from the first program. “They first gauge what stage the child is in since every child is different,” she recounts. “Now, he’s in prep but he’s doing grade two Math already.” She further notes that Galileo is very individualized, Cathy Santamaria, mom to Sam age 11, Jaime age 9, Sofia, age 7, and Brian, age 3, agrees, “It works. My kids are honor students.” She adds that the activities are not heavy but something her children enjoy.
