When I was expecting my first born, some of my parent-friends volunteered to sponsor some of the baby things that our baby needs. Sturdy strollers are always a good treat because the dependable ones are quite expensive. I was given a Graco stroller which is still dependable after almost a decade of use (it was used by my 11 year-old student for 3 years then his cousins for 2 more years), then a Combi stroller (the first one who used it was my student who is now in 1st year college). We have 5 baby carriers now (2 were brand-new gifts, 1 was a Baby Bjorn hand-me-down, & 1 baby sling I bought).
I bought newborn clothes (side-tie) at the dry goods section of the Marikina Public market. They were 50% cheaper than the ones sold in big malls. I only paid P250 for 5 sleeveless ones & 5 with sleeves. The white mittens & booties were at P15-20 per pair.
In my opinion, expectant moms need not worry much about baby things because most friends & family will provide them in the end (whether brand new or hand-me-downs). Their focus should be on their health (vitamins, proper nourishment, regular check-ups), because healthy mommies will produce worry-free babies. :) -

Hi, Jenny! You don't need 4 kinds, we're just showcasing what is available, then it's up to the mother to decide which one to get, or if she would get one at all :)
