Jackie Keller, nutrition and fitness consultant to postpartum celebrities such as Uma Thurman and Angelina Jolie, and author of Body After Baby: A Simple, Healthy Plan to Lose Your Baby Weight Fast, recommends incorporating a postpartum diet of meals and snacks that boost your physical and mental energy.

 

Some foods that help postpartum moms:

  • a small serving of dark chocolate daily
  • adequate and favorable carbohydrates including whole wheat pasta and brown rice
  • drinking plenty of water and green tea
