“I conceptualized Rajito in 2004 when my first-born daughter Danielle was a toddler. I was having a hard time finding ‘appropriate’ children's wear. At that time, most children looked like miniature versions of Moms which didn't really appeal to me,” shares Rajo Laurel’s sister, Venisse Laurel-Hermano, brand manager for Rajito.
“From the onset, I wanted Rajito to be for special occasions. I guess I come from an age group where we were always required to be in our ‘Sundays best’. I really like seeing girls dressed like little girls,” says Venisse of her vision for the brand.
With its identifiable brand of cutesy kiddie couture, Rajito has become a clear favorite for fashion-conscious young things. “Rajito clients know what they want. I guess it's because they are children of mom's who love to dress up. They are exposed to fashion from an early stage and they are unafraid to pick out pieces that they know will fit them.”

Kids and kids at heart flocked to the House of Laurel for a healthy dose of fashion and fun. In celebration of Rajito’s (Rajo Laurel’s kiddie couture line) fourth year anniversary, the store was transformed into a virtual garden party of sorts.
Kids sat down to an hour or two of arts and crafts headed by Intelliboost and gobbled down teeny cupcakes and even decorated their very own Krispy Kreme donuts.
The Rajito clothes on display were a celebration of all things old and new. Designs from the latest House of Laurel collection, inspired by military and minimalist elements made their debut (think candy colored fatigue prints in clean silhouettes, rich pleat and ribbon details and the like ), while classic pieces were revamped and re-launched resulting in a splendid display of kiddie fashion.
