Christmas Ad About a Child and Her Dog Is Not What You'd ExpectIt's heartwarming, yes, but it's also got the internet laughing!
Our TV screens will slowly be filled with Christmas-themed commercials as we enter the holiday season. Heartwarming ones are expected. But how about silly and funny ones? Here's a treat -- one of the early Christmas ads is both funny and a little heartwarming at the same time!
John Lewis, a chain of department stores in the U.K., has released their festive commercial, and it's not what you'd expect. For one, it's got a howling-for-joy trampoline-jumping dog!
In the ad, a young girl named Bridget is tucked into bed the night before Christmas with her dog Buster the boxer by her side. What she doesn't know is that at that moment her dad is busy building a trampoline for her in their snowy backyard.
With a little elbow grease, the trampoline is completed just in time for Christmas day. It’s adorned with a red bow as a final touch and then all is quiet. Except, a group of animals -- two foxes, a badger, a squirrel and a hedgehog -- discovers the wonders of a trampoline and gleefully jump on it all evening. Meanwhile, Buster enviously sits inside missing out on all the fun.
So what happens Christmas morning? Bridget sees her trampoline, runs over to it. Only now that the door to the backyard is open, she's cut off by Buster who gets to it first! You have to watch the video above to see his happy little face and flappy ears as he jumps with joy.
The animals played a big part in the ad as John Lewis also hopes to raise funds for The Wildlife Trusts, a charity for the protection of nature. The animals have a counterpart stuffed toy in stores and for every purchase, 10% goes to the charity. If you’re interested, they’re available in stores but also on the online store which ships worldwide.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWCONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
