Every year, Charlie, my daughter, loves going to Easter activities in different places, but for her, the highlight would be our own Easter egg hunting games at home.
Now that we're spending most of our time at home because of the pandemic, I have to think of easier ways to make Easter eggs more beautiful and attractive.
I saw these pretty Easter eggs with floral decorations on Pinterest. I do not have the skills nor the time to make elaborate paintings on eggs, but I did want to achieve the same effect.

This is where I discovered découpage. It's the art of decorating surfaces with glue and colored paper cutouts. You can use a variety of materials—from gold leaves, leftover newspapers, or old magazines, then you coat it with layers of finish.
How to make découpage Easter eggs
Materials:
eggs (you can use real ones or opt for those made from wood or foam)
découpage tissue paper (I got mine from Shopee for Php93 a piece)
Mosh Podge or Elmer's Glue
wide paint brush
small scissors

Procedure:
Step 1: Cut out your preferred design from your découpage tissue paper. Make sure you cut as close to the print as possible.
TIP! You may need to peel off the layers if you're using the multi-layered kind of découpage tissue paper. The thinner the paper, the better.
Step 2: Put some Mod Podge or diluted Elmer's Glue on your egg and then place your découpage tissue paper cutout. Make sure all parts and ends are glued properly.
Step 3: Add another layer of glue on top of the design to seal it. Let it dry for 20 minutes.
TIP! You can add as many découpage tissue paper cutouts you like. You can even paint the eggs first before adding your designs.
Finished product!

Now you have beautiful Easter eggs for you and your little ones. It's simple and easy, but the output is really pretty—you can even let your children help! You can also use the eggs as home decorations.
