5 Essentials You Need To Throw a Fun DIY Kids' Spa PartyYour kikay child and her friends will love it!
Is your kikay daughter’s birthday coming up? Plan a party she’ll love by throwing her and her friends a spa day! They’ll absolutely adore being pampered! You don’t have to rent a spa for a costly fee either, you can very easily set one up at home and DIY the party yourself. Here are 5 things you’ll need for a fun kiddie spa party:
1. Kid-friendly nail polish
No spa day would be complete without a mani-pedi. Regular nail polish, however, could be filled with harsh chemicals and toxins like formaldehyde, toluene and DBP (dibutyl phthalate). Plus, the smell could be a little too much for little kids. Instead, go for kid-friendly nail polish brands made from safe-ingredients. Snails is great because aside from being all-natural and completely free of harsh chemicals (no awful smell!), it’s also water-based and can be washed off easily. They have loads of colors to choose from too.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

2. Facial masks
All you need for a scrumptious facial mask that’s perfect for kids can be found right in your pantry. A mix of a quarter of mashed avocado and yogurt, for example, would be utterly delightful. You can also use cooked oats, honey, mashed banana and unsweetened cocoa powder. You can either prepare them beforehand or set up a face mask bar where you lay out all the ingredients and the girls can pick and mix their own masks. Have cucumber slices ready for extra fun.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

3. Foot soak
Even little feet can appreciate a soothing foot soak. Create a simple one with chamomile tea and rose petals. If you really want to impress the kids though, make Parents.com’s Fizzing Foot Soak. Mix together 1 cup baking soda, 1 cup cornstarch, 1 cup citric acid and 10 to 20 drops of fragrance oil. Use one scoop per tubful of water. Make sure you have a tub for every girl too, so the girls can enjoy their foot soak together. Have some magazines ready too for that ultimate spa feel.
4. Pamper-perfect snacks
A party isn’t a party without delicious eats. Go a little indulgent for a spa party. Here are a couple of our suggestions for sweet and refreshing treats the kids will love.

5. Spa-themed party favors
Make a party favor bag that’s also a mini-pampering and beauty kit. Fill a small pouch bag with items like lip gloss, hair ties, hand lotion, shower gel and cologne. You can also have the girls pick out their favorite nail polish color (from the bottles you used during the mani-padi session) to include in their loot bag. A small pouch of the Fizzing Foot Soak will make a great giveaway too. Just make sure it’s in a breathable container (like a paper bag) and not a sealed, airtight one as the mix produces gas.
Enjoy your spa day!
