If you're looking for a bonding activity with your daughter and you both happen to like girly and kikay stuff, here's a tried and tested suggestion: a mini spa party!
Take your cue from Smart Parenting Village mommy member Ysabelle Francinne. She organized, DIY style, a fun and fab mini spa party for her 3-year-old's birthday celebration. She then posted about it on the Facebook page of our parenting community.
Ysabelle's post got so many positive reactions from her fellow moms. One of them said, “This is so cute. I have a kikay toddler din.” Another one wished she could do it, too, lamenting, “Sana all may baby girl. I would do this, too, if I have a baby girl.”
If you would like to throw a spa party for your threenager or even older girls, you can get some ideas from Mommy Ysabelle. She said she bought almost all items for the DIY spa party from either Shopee or Daiso.
The table used for their mini spa has a cute little frame that said “Little Miss Threenager.” It's laden with different pink colognes, pink face and lip masks, and pink face creams. Of course, there were different colors of nail polish that are safe for kids.
Mommy Ysabelle also prepared glittered nail files and labels that said, pun intended, “Mani Thanks” on the nail polish and the cologne.
The creative mom of one took the aesthetics to the next level by also putting candles, perfume sticks, and plants on this cute mini rack. It looks like those setups you can see on Instagram or Pinterest! There’s also a mirror and two white-and-pink pump bottles for that unmistakable spa feel.
Next to the mini rack, there's beauty bar with jars full of the birthday girl’s favorite snacks like wafers, marshmallows, and candies. There was also a jar full of different flavored lip balms.
Mommy Ysabelle got a minimalist cake as well that suited the theme of her 3-year old’s spa party. And to make the party even sweeter, she paired up the cake with some sweet snacks like cookies, donuts, and pretzels that still go with the theme.
Mommy Ysabelle's daughter truly enjoyed the party with her closests friends around. They were all trying on nail polish and munching on the snacks. So cute!
