  • It's raining purple hearts and 'Borahae' in Andi Manzano's post on Instagram about her eldest daughter Olivia Reyes' 8th birthday on March 20.

The soon-to-be mama of three and former VJ shared, "Surprised her with a BT21 and Koya @rkive birthday celebration at home."

She added, "Our ate was sooo happy."

In the reel, there was a handwritten banner "Olivia's 8th birthday," and a huge balloon arrangement in pastel colors that give off the BT21 vibe. BT21 is a project of the South Korean boyband BTS where they created eight cute and charming characters.

Olivia's 'bias' or favorite BTS member is RM or Kim Nam-joon. She had life-sized standees of both an avatar of RM and the BT21 blue koala character the band member created named Koya.

Andi's followers, who are also proud to be ARMY, loved her party. One user said, "Omgeee a Namjoon bias too like my 7yo boy." Another one said, "A Namjoon stan? Yes, girl!"

Andi shared a photo of Olivia's cake too.

Recently, Olivia's sister Amelia celebrated her Encanto-themed 4th birthday, where Andi and her husband GP Reyes also revealed their third child's gender. Olivia and Amelia are having a baby sister by May.

Andi penned a sweet birthday message for her eldest daughter on her birthday.

"When I look at you I see beauty, kindness, and compassion all wrapped into one. You are a ball of sunshine that radiates so brightly wherever you go."

"You make me so proud of who you have become. You are so mature in your own ways and such a good ate to Amelia and soon our little baby girl. I love you Olivia. I pray that this year God will bless you in everything that you do," she said.

Andi shared in her Instagram stories that her 8-year-old now sleeps in her own room.

Tips for planning a birthday surprise at home that your child will love

    1. Know what your child's interests are

Andi's daughters are known to throw the best parties in big venues, but this surprise party at home still delivered. Why? Because Andi knows that her Ate Oli loves BT21 and RM and Koya in particular.

If you know your child's favorites, whether you throw a big or an intimate party, it will make them happy because you know what they like, and you didn't just settle with what you think they will like. If you're planning to throw a birthday party for your child, you may ask your child directly what they like, or ask their siblings or friends for help.

    2. Get a trusted supplier

For a hassle-free birthday party at home, especially for an expecting mama like Andi, you may want to get an all-in supplier who can deliver what you need. You can start by asking for recommendations in parent support groups like the Smart Parenting Village on Facebook. Join here.

    3. Go for party decor that your kids can keep

We could imagine that after the party, the RM and Koya standees will stay inside Olivia's room! Instead of spending a lot on banners that will be thrown away, opt for decors that your kids can keep as souvenirs.

    Happy 8th birthday, Olivia!

You can also celebrate your child's birthday party in a fun venue like this slime playground in Pasay City.
