Balik-Alindog: Pauleen Luna Spills The Secret To Her Slimmer FigureThe mom of one is rocking motherhood with a new svelte silhouetteby Lei Dimarucut-Sison .
TV host Pauleen Luna is noticeably slimmer these days, and the 30-year-old is basking in the glow of her fitter physique. Her secret? Pilates.
“Survived my first Pilates session! I can’t even remember the last time I worked out,” wrote the mom of one on Instagram.
“This feeling of being in workout clothes is so unfamiliar but truth be told, 5 years is a loooooong time and I missed it!” she added in a post from September.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Like other moms, though, Pauleen admits feeling guilty when her time is spent on caring for herself. But she is quick to turn away the thought and fix her eyes on the prize, which is to become strong and healthy for husband Vic Sotto and their almost-two-year-old daughter Tali. Truly, there’s nothing like exercise to help one lose weight and inches where it matters. But while many of us dread the idea of going to the gym, (and, like Pauleen, always put ourselves last because there are “more important things” on our priority list), Pauleen now has a brand new perspective about self-care.
“I used to think that there are far more important things I can do than just work out. I was right, and wrong, too. I never realized how important it is to take care of myself cos I was always busy taking care of others, which I LOVE, btw.
“And now, I realized that it doesn’t necessarily mean that I love my family less when I take care of myself! As a matter of fact, I feel like I give them more because I am happy!”ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Pauleen is thankful to have found a workout that she loves doing. Considering that she has “always been so lazy to work out,” she now proclaims, “I cannot believe that I’m saying this, but I’m addicted to Pilates!”
And if Pauleen ever needs more motivation to keep on, here’s one: having Tali as her Pilates-buddy. Check out the mother-and-daughter “exercise” video clip:
