    Ok, it’s an old joke, but offers a profound lesson nonetheless: to achieve something great, you have to start small.

    The same principle applies to improving ourselves, our relationships and our home – you have to take it one step at a time. So every weekend, why don’t you commit to doing 3 things that you can improve on? Before you know it, you’ll be the person you’ve always wanted to be. Start off with these “resolutions”:

    "Just for this weekend ...

    1.    I will be a child all over again.”


    Remember what it was like to wait for Saturday morning’s cartoon marathon (back when we didn’t have cable yet)? Wake your kids up early and catch Cartoon Network’s newest animated series, “The Amazing World of Gumball on Cartoon Network. Let go of your mom self, just for today!



    2.    I will be selfless.” Go through your closet and make an inventory. Do you really need so many clothes? Are there clothes your child has already outgrown? Make good use of these and donate to the victims of typhoon Pedring. Not only will you get your things organized, you will also be helping those in need.
